Calabarzon, made up of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon, is a bustling place with a mix of cities and countryside. It’s a big deal for businesses, farming, and trade. To make sure workers are treated fairly, the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) sets the minimum wage for the whole region. This covers everyone from farmers to workers in big towns.
The minimum wage isn’t the same for each province, but it depends on where you live. Calabarzon has three types of areas: growth corridor (where things are growing fast), emerging growth (where things are starting to grow), and resource-based (where they use natural resources).
Here are the new minimum wages for each area, as approved by the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC):
- Valid on august 2024
- Minimum wage with effect from September 24, 2023
- The amounts are in Philippine Peso.
